Stop Running Meetings
Start Leading Them.
Coaching senior leaders to facilitate with confidence, clarity, and impact
Most leaders run meetings.
Few actually lead them.
There’s a difference — and your team feels it every time.
How a leader runs a meeting is a behavior. And it tells their team everything — about how much they’re valued, whether their voices matter, and whether this leader can be trusted to move things forward. The gap between how leaders think they’re showing up in the room and how their team actually experiences them is often where meeting culture breaks down.
After 25 years of facilitating leadership team retreats and high-stakes working sessions, I’ve noticed something consistent: the most valuable thing I could do wasn’t always standing at the front of the room. It was helping the leader in the room become the kind of facilitator their team actually needed. That’s where I focus my work now.
Coaching Leaders to Lead Better
Through one-on-one coaching, I work with Directors, VPs, and senior leaders to sharpen the behaviors that make meetings — and the people in them — actually productive:
- Reading the room and adapting in real time
- Managing dominant voices without shutting them down
- Drawing out the quiet ones who hold the best insights
- Getting the "elephants in the room" named and addressed
- Creating psychological safety so real conversations happen
- Designing agendas that move a team forward, not just through the clock
- Building accountability and commitment — not just buy-in
This isn’t a workshop. It’s coaching — precise, personal, and built around closing the gap between how you intend to lead your team, need to lead your team — and how they actually experience you.
What We Work On Together
Leaders I coach learn to facilitate conversations that tackle what matters most:
- Honest reflection on what's working, what isn't, and why
- Clarifying short-term priorities the team can actually commit to
- Surfacing the behaviors that build — or quietly undermine — trust
- Navigating change, reorganization, and uncertainty with their teams
- Establishing real team agreements around communication, accountability, and how conflict gets handled
Occasional Facilitation Engagements
For leaders who need an experienced outside voice to facilitate a critical session — a leadership offsite, a team reset, or a high-stakes working session — I take on a small number of select engagements each year, primarily virtual and in the Greater Seattle Area.
If you’re considering bringing me in to facilitate, reach out and let’s talk about what would serve your team best.
