Privacy Policy
Path to Change (“Path to Change,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through pathtochange.com (the “Site”) and our coaching engagements, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who We Are
Path to Change is a solo executive coaching and leadership development practice founded by Maureen Moriarty in 2000. We work with individual leaders and with organizations sponsoring coaching for their leaders, primarily in the Greater Seattle area and the Coachella Valley / Palm Springs area, and with clients nationally via video.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
- Information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, phone number, and company, when you submit a contact form, book a discovery call, or download a resource (such as our EQ guide) from the Site.
- Coaching engagement information — information shared during coaching sessions, intake conversations, and any assessments completed as part of an engagement (for example, 360-degree feedback, emotional intelligence profiles, team and conflict-style assessments). This may include perspectives on workplace relationships, communication patterns, and professional challenges.
- Website usage information — standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, typically collected automatically through our hosting provider and any analytics tools in use on the Site.
- Email communications — if you email us directly, we retain that correspondence as part of our normal business records.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and schedule discovery calls
- Deliver coaching and team development services
- Send the resources you’ve requested (such as a downloaded guide)
- Maintain business records, including invoicing and engagement notes
- Improve the Site and our services
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Confidentiality of Coaching Engagements
What you share during individual coaching sessions is confidential. When an organization sponsors coaching for one of its leaders, only goals and progress that you and your coach agree to share are communicated back to the sponsoring organization — the specifics of individual coaching conversations is not. Any exceptions (for example, where disclosure is required by law) will be discussed with you directly.
5. Assessments & Third-Party Tools
Some engagements include standardized assessments (such as 360-degree feedback tools, emotional intelligence profiles, team-effectiveness tools, or conflict-style inventories). Where an assessment is administered through a third-party platform, your responses are subject to that provider’s own privacy policy and data handling practices in addition to this one. We will let you know when a third-party platform is involved before you complete an assessment.
6. Email Sign-Up & Marketing
If you sign up to receive a resource or join our mailing list, we use your email address to send the requested material and occasional related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in those emails, or by emailing us directly.
7. Cookies & Analytics
The Site may use cookies or similar technologies, including website analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve its content and performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality.
8. How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including using a reputable hosting provider and limiting access to client information to Maureen Moriarty and any contractors bound by confidentiality obligations. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
We retain client and contact information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet reasonable business, tax, and legal record-keeping needs, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
10. Your Choices
You may ask us, at any time, to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information, subject to our legitimate business and legal retention needs
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails
To make any of these requests, email maureen@pathtochange.com.
11. Children’s Privacy
